Concrete Leveling and Slabjacking in Marshfield, Massachusetts
This sunken slab in Massachusetts was evident with a noticeable gap between the concrete slab and concrete stairs
The concrete leveling process quickly raised this Massachusetts slab within minutes of injection
The Challenge
This 55+ community featured large concrete walkways that had settled unevenly due to poor soil conditions. Within a few years, multiple slabs had sunk, creating tripping hazards and uneven walking surfaces that posed liability concerns for the condo association.
Project Considerations
A traditional tear-out and replace approach was undesirable, as the jackhammering and concrete replacement would have been disruptive to residents. The association needed a fast, minimally invasive solution that restored the walkways without interrupting community life.
Our Solution
Engineered Foundation Technologies employed urethane foam slabjacking to lift and stabilize over forty concrete slabs. The expanding foam was injected beneath each sunken slab, quickly leveling the surfaces and filling voids in the soil below.
Results & Benefits
The slabjacking process eliminated tripping hazards, restored safe and level walkways, and provided a cost-effective alternative to traditional concrete repair methods.
- Rapid repair of multiple slabs
- Minimal disruption to residents
- Cost-effective compared to rip-and-replace methods
